Saturday night from 7-10pm and Sunday for brunch from 10-1pm I’ll be playing solo guitar at Meze/Sisters in Haile Plantation Village. See http://www.oliveyoueatwell.com for the menus. It is the same establishment with alter-ego menus - Meze serves Middle Eastern fare for dinner, Wed-Sat, while Sisters serves conventional and forward looking breakfast and brunch dishes Wed-Sun. I’ll cover jazz, Bossa and pop as well as a bit of Bach and Latin American classical guitar so I hope to see you there!

CD Release Party in Gainesville

September 16th and 17th will be a CD release event for my recent CD, ‘In Hand‘, at Emiliano’s Cafe in downtown Gainesville. Von Barlow, drummer, will be playing with Paul and myself in the newly renovated bar area at Emiliano’s. This trio is getting a good bit of playing experience and contributed to my album, ‘In Hand’, and we will be covering material from the album as well as new arrangements. Hope to see you there!

Also, Steve Williams of Tapas 12 West, is opening a new restaurant in the Town of Tioga called Oceans and we will be playing as a duo September 13th to help celebrate the opening of this new eatery. - NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED - DATE TBA

Casa Monica gig!!!

I’ll be playing at the Casa Monica hotel’s 95 Cordova Lounge in historic St. Augustine on August 9th with my quartet. It is super swank and a great room for live music so I hope to see you there!

We had a blast playing at Ocean 60 June 6th and 7th and Wes Lester, photographer extraordinaire, took some really creative shots in the night club lighting. The quartet was Von Barlow on drums, Randall Haywood on trumpet and flugel, Paul Creel on acoustic bass and myself on vox and geetar. This was pretty much the ideal quartet and I’d love to book it some more, but, alas, Randall is off to Julliard in August (good for him though, he is a great musician!!!). Have a look at the PHOTOS!.

The web site revision is mostly finished. Please let me know if you like it (or not) and also if you experience any difficulties with it. I’ve been selling CD’s at gigs and now they are available online at CDBaby.com. CD Baby is a little online record store that sells albums by independent musicians. Please support independent musicians and the great folks at CD Baby by purchasing a CD or two.

Upcoming gigs of note are May 30 at The Tasting Room in St Augustine with Eric Mason on drums and Sean Tarleton on bass and June 6+7 where I’ll be leading a quartet with Von Barlow on drums, Paul Creel on bass and Randall Haywood on trumpet. We plan on raising the roof off the joint so I hope to see you there!

The CD’s are in!!! The title of the CD is ‘In Hand’ and I hope you’ll be interested in buying one. Two years is too long but I am happy with the way everything worked out as well as it did. The CDs are only $10 and presently are only available at gigs. They should be available at CD baby soon. Stay tuned for news on the CD release parties.

The gigs steady at Emiliano’s and the Gainesville Country Club continue and weekends have been busy with private parties various places and gigs on the coast.
