A busy Winter and Spring

April 17th, 2009

The Sunday guitar duo gig with Welson Tremura at Francesca’s is to continue for at least another month.  Please come by if you can, the food is tasty and music is swinging and unique.  Welson is fantastic at playing Bossa Nova and I do my bit, adding some American style swing to the mix.

Tonight at the Casa Monica in St Augustine I’ll be leading a quartet with Tom Dietz on tenor sax, Von Barlow on drums and Paul Creel on bass.  We’ll be playing some of my new tunes.  I’m determined to record a CD of original music this year and need to get used to playing the material.

Next weekend I’ll be at the Brick in Avondale Friday and Saturday nights with Von Barlow’s Jazz Journey.  Hope to see you at one of the gigs!

Are the holidays over yet? (videos, yea!)

Happy New Year!

You and the night and the music

I’m intent on doing some recording in the coming months and am writing and getting gear ready.  There are a few more video clips I’ll put up so stay tuned.

Solo guitar at Meze/Sisters in Haile

October 30th, 2008

Saturday night from 7-10pm and Sunday for brunch from 10-1pm I’ll be playing solo guitar at Meze/Sisters in Haile Plantation Village.  See http://www.oliveyoueatwell.com for the menus.  It is the same establishment with alter-ego menus - Meze serves Middle Eastern fare for dinner, Wed-Sat, while Sisters serves conventional and forward looking breakfast and brunch dishes Wed-Sun.  I’ll cover jazz, Bossa and pop as well as a bit of Bach and Latin American classical guitar so I hope to see you there!
